"Urban Sounds" Year 2 Project 1

This project, created during my Level 3 Art and Design course, focuses on the use of abstract forms to reflect the idea of sounds heard in urban day to day life as visual constructs. The aim was to experiment and become comfortable with creating abstract work and to be challenged with reflecting an invisible experience as a visual concept. I then was tasked with telling a story through these visual forms and to create my work into a concertina book. I chose to illustrate my journey to college and to use these abstract shapes to represent the sounds I encounter across that journey, I did this digitally and then created my concertina folding book to print the pages out and attach together.
